I agree with folks that many of the patterns in this book are not as appealing as the first book and I also do not like the lack of a difficulty level for each quilt as well. And the thing that is really bothering me about the his book is that in the instructions they list the fabrics you need how much you need and give each fabric color a number (fabric 1, fabric 2 etc etc etc) But when they get to the piecing instructions they only refer to the fabric by a color! I do not know about you all but when I make a quilt I choose my own colors and do not attempt to make and exact duplicate of the sample quilt in the book. So it caused me several errors and some pieces getting cut that never needed to be cut! I had to write in my book what fabric numbers went with each group of piecing so I would not keep making mistakes.This book is supposed to be for all skill levels but that oversite alone makes it far more difficult to make a quilt than it should. I do not honestly recall having this issue with the first book and as that book is in storage I am not currently able to see if this is a fault with both books or just this one.I am glad I only bought a used copy of this book and I am not too sorry I bought it but I cannot wait to finally be able to find the first book and use that one as my primary with this book used only for minor inspirations.

I really loved the Quilts from the Quilt Makers Gift book. This one is good, but not as good as the author's first. As a new quilter I really miss the little birds rating the difficulty of the pattern.

What a great book. I love the way it is put together. Lots of great information with fabulous pictures. If you are looking for a cool hard bound book this is it! Joanne Larsen Line is one of my favorite authors. I had the honor of being with her at a quilt camp years ago, she certainly knows how to deliver information.

I had previously checked this book out of the library and spotted a quilt in it that was perfect for my granddaughter.So, I made the quilt for her for Christmas, and I purchased this book for her to show her the inspiration quilt. The book was able to give her an idea of what all went into the making of the quilt and the vignettes from the Quilt Makers Gift showed her how special quilts are. She was thrilled with both.

More Quilts From the Quiltmaker's Gift: 19 traditional patterns for a generation of generous quiltmakers. The patterns from the original story are shown in easy-to-follow-detail. Quilters are shown working with children along with the quilts they produce. A history of each pattern is given and illustrated with several actual quilts so the reader can see the pattern reproduced. Precise step-by-step instructions, patterns, fabric requirements, cutting instructions, quilt assembly, piecing directions, finishing techniques are given. Fun,fun,fun!

Delivery as expected. Condition of book was at least as good as promoted; perhaps better. Very pleased with the book, the seller, and the delivery.

I am sure that everyone has picked up a few books in their lifetime that were so good they didn't want to put them down. Well Set Free to Live Free is one of those books for me. It is probably in my Top 10 of books that I have really enjoyed reading and I gained so much insight. It was like reading something from a girlfriend. I love the way Saundra Dalton-Smith contracts the Lie and then shares the Truth. We must all stand on the firm foundation of God's word. I absolutely loved reading her insights of topics like Envy, Image, and Balance. What women does deal with all of this and more? Through stories and personal examples Saundra draws you in and makes you feel comfortable. There truly is Freedom in Christ Jesus. If you have been searching to be set free then you should definitely pick up a copy of this book. It will be a great first step on that journey and you will know that you are not alone.

I was at a place where I needed to free myself of decades of junky thinking. I'm not even sure how I came across this title, but after reading the reviews, I bought my first copy. Be prepared to take time to read and work through the book. You'll need time to think and pray. I can see the positive impact this book has made in my life and am getting ready to read it again. Since my first purchase, I have bought a box-full of additional copies to give to others. One woman said, "This book is kicking my fanny. It is soooo good. I need this."

I found Set Free ... a book filled with honesty and hope. I wish my physician cared so much about the whole me as Dr Dalton-Smith obviously does about her patients. Sometimes it takes an honest reply or listening ear to heal, not just a white coat and prescription pad. I recommend this book to any woman hoping to heal or any man who loves a woman who needs healing.

This was a great book and was very relevant and helpful for me with practical real life experiences to apply. It has made a difference in my life.

Set Free to Live Free is just that freedom from all the lies we as woman have become comfortable with through the years. It is an awesome book written in such a way it is almost like talking with a dear friend. The scriptures are food to the soul. It is like working through the lie and then replacing the lie with the truth of God's Word and His many promise. Saundra Dalton-Smith wrote in such a way that everyday woman feel comfortable reading it. I have recommended this book to several friends.

Really helps you to view yourself the way God views you and gives you a prescription to heal from the mental lies and ties that bind us and leave us stuck in life. Enjoyed very much.

I've been on the fence about real estate investing for a long time. I'm the type of person that wants to know everything before going in... analysis paralysis. This book has covered everything I've heard and explained it in a way that I could understand. I definitely feel ready to begin my real estate journey.

I have read a half dozen or more books on investing in multi-family rental properties in the last few months and this is the best by far! One of my favorite quotes is on fear. When he touched on the subject, I thought, "Oh here we go - another 'can of tuna' speech!" Years ago when I sold my first home, a realtor told me, "Don't worry! Buying and selling houses is just a transaction - just like buying a can of tuna at the store." Five weeks later I had closed on my old house but was ten days away from the closing on my new house. Everything I owned was in storage, my pets were in a kennel and I was lying in a sleeping bag in a friend's spare room at 3am looking up at the ceiling thinking, "Can of tuna, huh?" Transactions involving people's homes and livelihoods always have emotions attached to them to some extent - and we don't want those feeling to drive the process, but to deny them is, well, denial.To his credit, Chandler says, "Honor your fear. Listen to it and then answer. The only way to make it go away is due diligence - you have to run the numbers. And, if the numbers work, your fears will be silenced." That advice is not only true in investing, it is true in life. The rest of the book is equally well written and wise. I plan to refer to it again and again as I slowly build my portfolio.

I have bought and sold a few homes. I’ve never really had a formula. I now have that formula and I’m super excited to get back in the game. Hold has shown me a great step by step process to buy and hold homes for the long term! I’m confident and certain that if I use these guidelines to make decisions, I’ll be on my way to having a great portfolio of homes that will cash flow for many years. Thanks guys! Love the book and I think I’ll be using it for closing gifts for my mortgage clients.

Great book for beginners that don’t know where to start. Very easy to follow and gives you great examples. I highly recommend.

Very in depth with great material and viewpoints. Basically gives you a step by step guide to building a real estate investing business.

Very good overview of buy-and-hold investing using solid fundamentals. Some helpful worksheets and forms included for download. Not the only title out there on this subject, but the authors have obviously "been there and done that" and because of that this book is worth a read, especially if you're just getting started or are questioning your investing plans. You should be reading constantly anyway if you're an investor. This book is worth your time.

This is an excellent book that breaks everything down step by step. It takes the mystery out of real estate investing and presents the facts in a very accessible way.

Definitely recommended if you are thinking of investing in real estate.

..Very, very, very basic.....found nothing in the book of interest that I can use. May be ok read for someone just being introduced to the Craft...definitely not for the well seasoned. Price very reasonable, so good to give as a gift to a student. Book has 10 chapters: The Lunar Calendar, Setting up your alter, North-South-East-and West, Everyday Spells, Your Magic week, The Moon is a silver coin, Mother Moon's Cure, Spells to Attract Love, Gods and Celestial Goddesses, and Rites of Passage (I did not type these word per word: it's just to give you an idea of the content.). Definitely worth the read for a novice.

What a fantastic book- it is packed with lore, mythology, history, and wonderful spells. I take it as a good sign that my copy arrived on a full moon and I was able to perform one of the rituals designed just for that moon phase. This book is life-changingly wonderful and I expect to use it and refer to it for years to come. I have come to realize that author Cerridwen Greenleaf is a truly wise woman whose lifetime of study is in this great guide. The comprehensive information on herbs, moons signs and phases, color magic, gem and crystal properties and how to incorporate this into your life is better than I have seen anywhere else.

A joyful read with interesting history and lots of practical spells. I highly recommend this read especially for the novice.
