I am very skeptical when people rave about books, how good can they actually be? This book is a great descriptIon of the spiritual aspect of karma, love, and will power. I was able to readjust my thinking, based on looking at the Big Picture, rather than the narrow view. I have been semi-pessimistic and jaded for most of my life, and this book actually allowed me to see that there is a positive side to life. We are more than our bodies, we are eternal souls, that can actually enjoy this life we have. I have a deeper understanding of "life" now, and how to get more enjoyment from it. Once the light comes on, it's pretty simple. This book helped me turn on the light.
I see life in a new light after reading this book. Every page made sense to me and I clearly feel I understand the meaning of what was being explained, normally I get lost in psychology theories but not this time. The idea of cause and effect, karma, will, love and meditation is all things I have been interested in for years but felt I was always missing a piece of the learning. I feel like I have found the missing piece. I am extremely grateful. I recommend it to anyone who can keep an open mind and often wonders like I did, about free will and why we sometimes feel as if we remember things that never have happened to us, well in this lifetime anyways. Great read. Keeper book on the top of my shelf.
I love love love this book. I’ve read it at least 5 times and have given to friends and family to read. My only complaint is that it’s too short! I know it’s just essays, but it was so good I wanted to keep learning more. It was very easy to understand and to the point. One of my favorites.
This book is much smaller than the previous works by Michael Singer, but it is packed with solid information.There are pearls of wisdom to be found on each page.Highly recommended.
Well, finishing this book means I've read all four of Michael Singer's books. "The Untethered Soul" is my favorite - one of the greatest books of all time (IMO)... I'd say, in order then followed by "The Surrender Experiment", "The Search for Truth" and this book, which is a totally awesome little book that I loved - I'll read anything Michael Singer writes - but this is the only book of his I'm not giving a five star rating to. Four stars, really liked it, certainly an easy, worthwhile read... But if you haven't read any Michael Singer I'd follow the order given above, starting with "The Untethered Soul". That book and "The Surrender Experiment" were written in the 2000's... the other two in the 1970s, so chronologically "Search for Truth" was first, then this book, then Untethered Soul & Surrender Experiment. All great books no matter what order you choose :)
A thought provoking book on Universal Law written in such a way, you don't have to be a spiritual guru or scientist to understand it. It's physically, a very small book too, and as such it doesn't feel so overwhelming to assimilate some of the unique thoughts about karma and other spiritual implications. It's also one of those books you can use to go back and re-read portions and use it with a meditation practice or in a book club of like-minded individuals.
This is a great book from Michael Singer. It's not a "fun" read, but it provides some foundational information you've likely read before, but some parts are very insightful and provide a new perspective. I would recommend this book.
Reading a series of books by Michael Singer, including the Untethered Soul and the Surrender Experiment. This is an earlier book I thought might be helpful in establishing an understanding of the author and his philosophies as you progress into later books. This one seemed a little hard to follow at times but did contain all the essential ingredients to develop a good understanding of Karma and Will..... but I am undecided if I am onboard with his various definitions of Love. May have to re-read that sections a few more times and let it sink in.
